Appscale Academy Programme is going to start soon from 4th march, 2022. It’s going to be a 1:1 mentorship by Google for the selected startups.
This program is only open for Indian app developers.
What is AppScale Academy?
A program of new growth and development for startups was announced by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Google in October 2021 for the welfare of Indian startups. This program aims to train new startups throughout India on building apps for a global audience.
Google and MeitY, after combining are planning to conduct a selection process wherein one hundred startups will get trained through a customized curriculum including virtual instructor-led webinars, self-learning and self-improvement material, and mentorship sessions with locals as well as international industry professionals. The program will go up to six months.
The new Appscale Academy program by Google will focus on topics like app quality, global reach, user acquisition and monetization, app design, Google Play policy, and data safety best practices. Any Indian startup, willing to accelerate business growth can apply easily. But note Applications had already been closed on 15 December 2021. If you missed the chance, bad luck! try next time. Not only the above but also the AppScale program comes up with some more beneficial stuff like access to Google self-paced learning programs, MeitY Startup Education courses, as well as invite-only seminars and events. Moreover, the program also offers market consultation and app quality reviews.
But only a selected number of new startups will get 1:1 mentorship by Google and industry experts, Google product credits, Android hardware, and potential opportunity to be showcased on Google Play. The startups can run on any business model-free, paid, transaction, and others. Google notes that this program is only open for app developers in India and applicants must be aged 18 years or above.
These training programs are not for just formality, they have planned a huge number of talented staff for the new startup learning journey. This six-month program has a core team that will commit to a six-month-long training, coaching, and mentorship program. Training sessions will be conducted by mentors like CEO and Co-Founder and CEO of Games2Win Alok Kejriwal, Co-Founder, and CEO of Koo Aprameya Radhakrishna, Vice President and General Manager of Growth at Meesho Megha Agarwal, and more.
