After so much rumor, It is final that Twitter will be owned by Elon Musk. Elon Musk buys Twitter for $44 billion cash. There are various people happy or sad. However, the white house shows concerns over this deal.
On 26 March 2022, a user on Twitter tweeted and tagged Elon Musk. Basically, the user wants to see a new social media platform that is open source, and there is a free speech facility for everyone.
Elon replied to him, that he is giving serious thought to this.

Elon Musk replied to Pranay Pathole, a Twitter user’s question on whether it’s good to build a social media platform consisting of an open-source algorithm and one that would prioritize free speech, and where propaganda was minimal.
Pranay posted his question on 26 March 2022 and fortunately, he got the answer very soon, Musk replied to him “Am giving serious thought to this”.
And later on, regarding this thought, Elon posted a voting poll on Twitter. Below is his vote poll.
He tweeted after one day of that question, the wise person put out a Twitter poll asking users if they believed Twitter follows the principle of free speech, to which more than 70% of the users were answered as NO”.
Also, he added a comment on his post, saying “The consequences of this poll will be important. Please vote carefully”.
Elon Musk, a genial user of Twitter himself, said the company is undermining democracy by failing to adhere to free speech principles.
It totally depends on Elon whether he decides to build a new social media platform based on his requirement of Pranay. If things go well with creating a new platform then most probably Elon would be joining a growing portfolio of technology companies that are standing as champions of free speech and thick can promise you to give an of an open-source, free speech networking platform, such as Twitter, Meta Platform’s Facebook and YouTube.
